ARE CUSTOM MADE ENGAGEMENT RINGS BETTER?
For the most important piece of jewellery you will ever buy it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with all of the options out there and wonder how you’re ever going to commit to ‘the one’. Opting for a custom made engagement ring means you can stop settling for the best you can find, favouring the stone settings in one ring but the cut and clarity of another, and create the perfect ring that fits every criteria that you’ve imagined. Working directly with us allows you to create a one off piece that you would never find on the high street and won’t see anyone else wearing.
WHERE TO GET A CUSTOM MADE ENGAGEMENT RING MADE?
Laura Vann will personally source your perfect stones in Birmingham’s iconic Jewellery Quarter, head over to Custom Made Engagement Rings in Birmingham blog to find out all the reasons why.
ARE CUSTOM MADE ENGAGEMENT RINGS MORE EXPENSIVE?
No - as fair pricing is a key principle upon which V was founded, you can feel confident in the knowledge that we provide clients with much better quality and value for money than the high street can offer. When purchasing a V by Laura Vann bespoke ring you have come to the source of creation, Laura herself, and this enables us to put all the value into your one of a kind piece without additional markups along the way.
HOW ARE CUSTOM MADE ENGAGEMENT RINGS DESIGNED?
We pride ourselves on our approachable and fun appointments which can be held either via Zoom or at our Sutton Coldfield studio with Laura. We find out as much as we can about the taste of the client(s) from their go-to brands to current jewellery staples and any inspiration images. From there she will begin sketching up ideas, taking into account the stone types, shapes and details discussed in the consultation and merging this together with our signature timeless V touch.
WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR STONES?
All of our stones are sourced in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter using dealers we have built long standing relationships with. You can rest assured all our stones adhere to the Kimberly Process and are ethical and conflict free. We can of course source stones from specific regions and give more information on origin on a case basis.
HOW ARE CUSTOM ENGAGEMENT RINGS MADE?
Once the sketches are signed off, we take a 50% deposit (credit card accepted) before proceeding to your CAD design. This will show you your ring from all angles and in close detail. Once CADs are confirmed, our workshop in Birmingham’s iconic Jewellery Quarter will begin making your ring with unparalleled precision.
HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE TO MAKE A CUSTOM ENGAGEMENT RING?
From the initial consultation with Laura, you will have sketches in 1-2 weeks, and the full process from consultation to completion usually takes just 6 weeks.
